A bold, bright black tea from Kenya's highlands. From our house to yours.

Grown on high-altitude estates in Kenya, Highland Black brews a deep amber cup with a brisk, malty body and a clean, bright finish. It stands up beautifully to milk and makes a rich chai, and it is just as good on its own.

This is the tea we pour at home: honest, full-flavored and made for sharing. Packed in small batches in a resealable kraft pouch.

  • Ingredients: 100% Kenyan black tea
  • Origin: Product of Kenya
  • Flavor: Malty, brisk, bright, with a clean finish
  • Caffeine: High (black tea)
  • Packed in: Resealable kraft pouch with a window

How to brew

  • Plain cup: Add 1 tsp to a cup of just-boiled water. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Add milk or sugar if you like.
  • Kenyan chai: Boil 1 cup water with 1 cup milk. Add 2 tsp tea. Let it rise twice, then strain.
  • Iced: Brew double strength, then pour over a full glass of ice.

  • ¼ lb: 4 oz (113 g), makes about 50 cups
